The Role
- As a 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a specific pupil, tailoring support to meet their unique needs and helping them engage fully in classroom activities.
- Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the pupil’s educational, social, and emotional development within our inclusive school in Great Bookham, Surrey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a child with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
- Collaborate with Teachers and SENCO to implement personalised strategies.
- Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- Encourage and promote independence in learning and personal development.
To succeed as a 1 to 1 Teaching Assistant, you should:
- Have experience or a strong interest in working with children with SEN.
- Be patient, empathetic, and dedicated to inclusive education.
- Be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- Be able to commit to Mon – Fri 08:30 – 15:30
