1:1 Support Assistant – Cambourne Area

We’re looking for a compassionate 1:1 Support Assistant to work with two children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a child’s life, providing tailored support in both their learning and personal development.
Position Details:
Location: Near Cambourne, Cambridgeshire
Position: 1:1 Support Assistant
Hours: Part-Time (Monday & Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM)
Salary: £13-£18 per hour (Inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)

Your Key Responsibilities
- Support Individual Learning: Assist in delivering personalised learning plans.
- Encourage Development: Foster social and emotional growth in a nurturing environment.
- Assist with Care: Provide support with personal care when necessary.
- Collaborate: Work with teachers and the school team to support children’s needs.
- Create a Positive Environment: Ensure a safe, supportive atmosphere in the classroom.
What We’re Looking For as an 1:1 Support Assistant:
- Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English.
- Experience: Prior work with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential.
- Transport: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Awareness of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures.
- Eligibility: Full-Time Right to Work in the UK.
