Job Title: Bank SEN Teaching Assistant

Inspire EHC is pleased to be working with an esteemed SEN school located in rural Mid Norfolk, west of Norwich, to recruit a bank SEN Teaching Assistant. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference within a supportive educational environment. The school, which caters to a small pupil cohort of 11-35 pupils, provides specialised education to children with SEMH needs, ensuring tailored support for each individual.
Our client is a well-regarded SEN school based in rural Mid Norfolk, west of Norwich. Committed to high standards of care and education, the school offers both temporary and permanent positions, providing stability and continuity for its pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with SEMH needs, encouraging positive behaviours and engagement in learning activities.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored educational programmes.
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils requiring additional assistance to promote their well-being and development.
- Monitor and ensure safeguarding and child protection protocols are strictly followed.
- Help create a safe and nurturing environment conducive to learning and emotional growth.
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to the overall care and education plans for pupils.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEMH in an educational or care setting.
- Strong communication and behavioural management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and resilience to adapt to children’s individual needs.
- A recognised relevant qualification or experience that demonstrates an understanding of SEN needs is desirable.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
