You'll work alongside experienced colleagues to ensure each child receives individualised support in an environment built around their needs.
Your responsibilities:

- Supporting children with everyday activities, routines and personal care where required.
- Encouraging positive behaviour, emotional development and healthy relationships.
- Helping children engage with school, learning opportunities and recreational activities.
- Promoting independence through cooking, budgeting, social skills and other everyday activities.
- Offering reassurance, guidance and encouragement during difficult or challenging moments.
- Contributing to care plans, daily reports and other essential documentation.
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, families and external professionals where appropriate.
- Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safeguarding procedures and children's residential care requirements.
- Participating in a shift-based rota, which may include evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties (rota to be confirmed).
About you
- Previous experience supporting children or young people, particularly within residential care, education or a similar setting. However, this is not essential as training will be provided.
- A positive, approachable and empathetic personality.
- The ability to listen, communicate and build meaningful relationships.
- Patience, emotional resilience and the confidence to manage challenging situations appropriately.
- A flexible approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A full UK driving licence, if required for the role.
- Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
What Inspire EHC can offer:
- Comprehensive training and ongoing opportunities to develop your skills.
- Supportive colleagues and a positive working environment.
- Opportunities to grow and progress within the organisation.
- A rewarding career where your contribution can have a lasting impact on children's lives.
- The opportunity to be part of a team that is passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people in Welwyn Garden City.
