English Teacher - Remote | Flexible Hours (Guaranteed Minimum Work Available)
Our partner school is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to deliver engaging online lessons to learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who may have significant gaps in their education. This role focuses on helping students achieve accredited qualifications, re-engage with learning, and progress toward positive destinations.
Role responsibilities:

Deliver 1:1 virtual English lessons to learners on personalised programmes.

Plan creative activities tailored to individual learning needs.

Support students to achieve qualifications such as Functional Skills, Entry Levels, and AQA Unit Awards.

Foster positive and supportive relationships with learners.

Contribute to each student’s overall progress and re-engagement in education.
Requirements:

Strong commitment to supporting students with SEND.

At least two years’ experience in a SEND environment.

QTS or QTLS is advantageous.

We provide personalised learning pathways for young people unable to access traditional schooling due to social, emotional, or mental health challenges, anxiety, or other barriers. Our tailored approach includes online lessons with subject specialists, local tutoring, and outdoor learning opportunities at PEAK activity centres.
We provide every child with the chance to excel in their education, regardless of any challenges they may have faced in the past. Our programme is specifically designed to help children who have been unable to access traditional schooling due to social, emotional, or mental health issues, anxiety, or other barriers they have encountered.
We work compassionately with each learner and their family to design a customised learning path that is completely focused on their individual requirements. Our partner school offers bespoke timetables through local tutors, online lessons with our subject specialists, and incorporating outdoor activities at PEAK activity centres. We are dedicated to helping our learners re-engage with education in a way that best suits them.
Our partner school is expanding and there will be further teaching opportunities. Although the role is 0 hours, our partner school can guarantee work for a certain number of hours/days.
