Position Details:
Location: Attleborough, Norfolk
Position: Examination Invigilator
Hours: Flexible / Casual hours available (primarily in November and June, plus additional hours for mock examinations)
Salary: £13/hr inclusive of holiday pay
Contract: Bank / Casual
Key Responsibilities as an Examination Invigilator:
- Protect the integrity of examinations, ensuring optimal conditions for all students in Attleborough, Norfolk.
- Uphold and safeguard the regulations and requirements of the relevant examining bodies and JCQ.
- Support the Examinations Officer with the day-to-day operation of examinations.
- Assist with setting up examination venues, including the distribution of materials and ensuring compliance with procedures.
- Direct candidates to their seats and ensure they adhere to examination regulations.
- Monitor candidates throughout exams, responding to queries and handling any irregularities.
- Check attendance and supervise candidates as required in Attleborough, Norfolk.
- Escort candidates from venues and supervise them as needed.
- Collect, collate, and prepare scripts for submission following strict procedures.
- Supervise candidates as they exit, ensuring no unauthorised removal of equipment or materials.
- Act as a Reader and Scribe to support students with Access Arrangements (training provided).
Examination Invigilator Skills & Requirements:
- Experience of working or studying in an educational environment (desirable).
- Understanding of examination processes (desirable).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional and positive attitude.
- Ability to follow strict procedures and regulations as an Examination Invigilator.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
- Knowledge of students with SEMH and ASD is beneficial.
- Flexibility with working hours is essential.
- Due to the location in Attleborough, Norfolk, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required.
