Learning Support Assistant – Inclusive SEN School (Term-Time Only)

About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential. You’ll be part of a committed, friendly team who are passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment for all.
Location: Great Bookham, Surrey
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30 (Term-Time Only)
Pay: £84.05 – £90 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract: Long-Term / Temp to Permanent.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to pupils with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, and communication challenges
- Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
- Assist in delivering individual education plans (IEPs) and differentiated learning strategies
- Create an inclusive and structured classroom environment
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, wellbeing, and behaviour
- Collaborate with teachers, the SENCO, and other professionals to support each learner effectively
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in working with children with special educational needs
- Experience in schools, care settings or working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Eligibility to work in the UK
