Learning Support Assistant
Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently collaborating with a leading Special School near Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire, in their search for a dedicated SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their passionate team.
Learning Support Assistant Role:
- Provide support to students aged 2-19 with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Assist pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in achieving their educational goals.
- Address both the emotional and educational needs of students.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers to ensure individualized learning and emotional support.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Learning Support Assistant Requirements:
- Prior experience working with SEN is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with school staff, parents, and carers.
- Certificates in supporting teaching and learning are beneficial.
- Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30.
- Must be able to commute to Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire.
- Right to work full time in the UK is essential.
