Are you a skilled SEN Tutor with a passion for Computing or ICT?
We are working with a fantastic secondary special school in Southend, south Essex to recruit a dedicated SEN Tutor with a specialism or strong interest in Computing/ICT. This is a long-term opportunity where you can make a real difference, supporting young people with additional needs to develop key digital and life skills.
The Role
You will be delivering 1:1 or small group tuition in Computing/ICT, supporting students with a range of needs including MLD, ASD, and SEMH. You will plan and adapt engaging lessons to meet individual learning styles and EHCP targets, while building confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning. You will also work closely with staff and other professionals to support student progress.
What we’re looking for
Experience working with SEN students is essential. You should have strong knowledge or a genuine interest in Computing, ICT, or digital skills. A background in teaching, tutoring, or education support is required, along with a patient, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach. The ability to build strong relationships with students is key.
What’s on offer
£180–£250 per day depending on experience.
Long-term, ongoing contract.
