Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons for pupils with PMLD and SLD.
- Create an accessible and supportive learning environment.
- Provide a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to individual learning needs.
- Use evidence-based teaching approaches that encourage independence and a love of learning.
- Design real-life, meaningful learning opportunities for whole-class, small-group and exploratory work.
- Share good practice and contribute to whole-school improvement.
- Support curriculum enrichment and extended learning activities.
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and GDPR guidelines.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally PMLD or SLD.
- Positive, flexible and creative approach to teaching.
- Passion for developing pupils’ resilience and learning characteristics.
- Understanding of safeguarding and SEND best practice.
- Commitment to CPD and continued professional development.
