SEN Food Technology Teacher
Location: Near Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
Salary: £31,650 - £46,286 Dependent on experience.
Job Type: Full-Time Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
Working Hours:
- Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8am – 4pm
- Tuesday: 8am – 5pm
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Food Technology Teacher to join our team near Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. This full-time position is term time only and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students with SEN, particularly those with Autism aged 5-19 years old.
SEN Food Technology Teacher Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and inclusive Food Technology lessons in line with the National Curriculum, ensuring lessons are suitably differentiated to meet the unique needs and interests of each learner.
- Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to support pupil progress, ensuring that all learning is tailored to the abilities and goals of students.
- Track student progress, providing assessments and feedback to aid development, growth, and confidence in the subject.
- Collaborate with the SEN team to create a positive, supportive, and structured learning environment, focusing on helping students thrive academically and personally.
- Ensure a high-quality curriculum is delivered in a safe and stimulating environment.
SEN Food Technology Teacher Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience working within SEN settings.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and how to effectively differentiate lessons to meet varied learning needs.
- Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills.
- Must have full-time Right to Work status, as we are currently unable to offer sponsorship.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Cambridge, Cambridgeshire.
