We're looking for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join a specialist setting in Bury St Edmunds that supports children and young people with a range of additional needs.

What You'll Be Doing
As a SEN Learning Mentor, you'll provide personalised support to pupils throughout the school day, helping them engage in learning, develop life skills and reach their individual goals.
Your role will include:
• Supporting pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small learning groups
• Encouraging engagement, participation and confidence in lessons
• Helping pupils develop communication, social and emotional skills
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Assisting with personalised learning activities and interventions
• Supporting independence both inside and outside the classroom
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff
• Providing personal care support where required

• A strong communicator who works well within a team
• Experienced within education, SEND, care, residential care, youth work or support work environments
Transferable experience is highly valued, and full support will be provided to help you succeed in the role.
