We have an exciting opportunity for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join an SEMH school in Enfield, North London. Position Details:
- Location: Near Enfield, North London.
- Position: SEN Learning Support Assistant
- Hours: 08:30-16:15 Monday - Friday (Term-time Only)
- Salary: £12-£15/Hour Inclusive of 12.07% Holiday Pay
- Contract: Temp to Perm
Key Responsibilities as a SEN Learning Support Assistant:
- Work with individuals and small groups to keep students on task and engaged.
- Support the planning and delivery of lesson content in collaboration with the teacher.
- Assist in the assessment and progress tracking of students.
- Deliver SEN interventions tailored to students’ needs.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and support emotional regulation.
- Supervise students during breaks, educational visits, and external activities.
- Provide detailed reports on student progress and contribute to professional discussions.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
- Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence in students.
SEN Learning Support Assistant Skills & Requirements:
- Previous experience supporting students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
- A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach to working with children.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding, equality, and promoting the welfare of young people.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
- Must be able to commute to near Enfield, North London
