SEN Teacher – Norfolk

Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 (M1 – UPS3)
Hours: 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher seeking a rewarding role in Norfolk? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our books who are passionate about making a real difference to children aged 11-16 with SEN and SEMH needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons across a range of subjects.
- Adapt the curriculum to meet the needs of pupils with SEN and SEMH.
- Lead and mentor Teaching Assistants and Higher-Level Teaching Assistants.
- Implement school policies, including safeguarding and promoting equality.
- Monitor student progress, focusing on both academic and emotional development.
- Build strong, nurturing relationships with students, supporting their learning journey.
Sen Teacher Requirements
- QTS or QTLS (essential); ECT’s are welcome to apply.
- Experience teaching pupils with SEN and working with EHCPs.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and strategies for engaging SEN learners.
- Proven ability to manage and support students with anxiety and SEMH needs.
- A creative, flexible approach to teaching tailored to individual learning styles.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (required due to rural locations).
About the Role
- As an SEN Teacher in Norfolk, you will provide exceptional teaching to small classes of up to 10 students, supported by a minimum of three staff members per class. The students have a range of needs, including communication and interaction difficulties, specific learning challenges such as dyslexia, autism spectrum conditions, and social, emotional, or mental health barriers.
