We are proud to be supporting several SEN Schools in Ipswich, Suffolk and are looking to add to our books for September SEN Teachers to educate Primary and Secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health Needs (SEMH) and Autism in Ipswich, Suffolk. As an SEN Teacher, you would be responsible for planning, delivering and evaluating lessons that are tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil. You will work closely with school's SLT and other professionals to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and to monitor progress.
Candidates must have experience teaching learners with SEND and a strong understanding of SEMH and Autism. You should be able to demonstrate the ability to differentiate teaching to support learners with a wide range of needs and abilities. You must also be able to create a nurturing, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes the wellbeing of all pupils.
As an SEN Teacher in Ipswich, Suffolk your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons for pupils with SEMH and/or Autism
- Be committed to working towards pupil’s progress both academically and emotionally
- Work with parents and carers to ensure the pupil’s academic journey is a positive experience
- Working as part of a whole school team
- Build a good working relationship with classroom and pupil support staff
We are keen to speak to SEN Teachers in or near Ipswich, Suffolk with the following skills and experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and or relevant experience
- Experience in supporting learners with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism
- Experience in supporting pupils in a specialist provision would be ideal but we are also keen to hear from mainstream teachers looking to move to an SEN setting
- The successful SEN Teacher must share an ethos of working as a whole school team to ensure all the pupil’s academic and emotional needs are met
- Have a nurturing approach to teaching learners with SEND
