Your Role as an SEN Teaching Assistant
You will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support guided by teachers and therapists
- Assist with communication strategies and behaviour support plans
- Take part in outdoor learning, forest school sessions and hands‑on activities
- Build trusting, nurturing relationships that help pupils feel safe and understood
- Play a key part in helping children regulate, learn and grow each day
What You’ll Need
- A calm, caring and patient approach
- Genuine passion for working with children with Autism and SEMH needs
- SEN experience helpful (training provided for the right candidate)
- Your own transport due to rural access
- Willingness to be active, creative and outdoors in all seasons
