We're thrilled to be working with an exceptional all-through SEN School near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, in their search for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support their students with additional needs.
The school caters to both Primary and Secondary aged learners, our partner school is renowned for its commitment to providing tailored support for individuals with additional needs in the Borehamwood, Hertfordshire area.

Hours: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 16:00)
Salary: £85-£95 (Inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
Contract: Temp to Perm
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported, fostering an environment where they can enjoy and learn.
- Promote Independence: Encourage personal development and independence in students, maintaining high expectations of behaviour.
- Educational Activities: Assist in providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities that help students reach their full potential.
- Classroom Assistance: The SEN Teaching Assistant will support the Class Teacher with daily classroom activities and ensure smooth operation.
- Adaptability: Respond to the changing needs of the school and adapt to various tasks as required.
- Holistic Development: Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of students.
SEN Teaching Assistant Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
- SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN desirable.
- Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
- Compliance: Must have a Full-Time Right to Work status.
