Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Leatherhead, Surrey
Contract Type: Term Time Only | Short-Term, Long-Term & Ad-Hoc Opportunities Available
Pay: £85.00 – £95.00 per day (PAYE)
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll support pupils both inside and outside the classroom, helping them to access learning, develop confidence and reach their full potential. Opportunities are available within mainstream and specialist settings, supporting children with SEND, including autism, speech and language needs, SEMH and complex learning needs.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support.
- Assisting pupils with their learning, communication and social development.
- Supporting teachers with classroom activities and lesson delivery.
- Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.
- Helping to implement individual learning and behaviour support plans.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other professionals.
- Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
About You

- Confident building positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
- Flexible and able to adapt to different classroom environments.
- Strong communicators with a proactive approach.
Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker or working with children or young people is highly desirable, although candidates with transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
Relevant qualifications in education, childcare or special educational needs are beneficial but not essential.
