SEN Teaching Assistant – Near Guildford, Surrey

Location: Near Guildford, Surrey
Hours:
- Monday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday to Thursday: 8:30am – 4:15pm
- Friday: 8:30am – 3:45pm
Pay: £14.00 - £15.50 per hour
Contract: Long-term with the opportunity to become permanent
Please note: Due to the school's rural location, applicants must have their own transport.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important role in supporting pupils with complex mental health needs and additional learning needs. Working closely with teachers and therapists, you'll help create a calm, structured environment where students can feel safe, develop confidence, and achieve their individual goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support throughout the school day.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation using consistent approaches.
- Supporting pupils across a range of key stages with both academic and personal development.
- Working collaboratively with the wider school team to deliver tailored learning and wellbeing support.

About You

- Experienced within an SEN setting (desirable but not essential).
