We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist educational setting in Bury St Edmunds on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to build meaningful relationships with pupils and play a vital role in helping them achieve their full potential, both academically and personally.
This nurturing setting provides a supportive environment where pupils with complex needs can develop confidence, independence and essential life skills. As part of the team, you will help create positive learning experiences that genuinely change lives.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and wider professionals to support pupils with a range of complex needs. You will assist both in the classroom and through tailored interventions, helping pupils engage with learning and achieve their individual goals.
Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting pupils on a one-to-one and small group basis

Assisting with classroom activities and differentiated learning

Encouraging communication, social development and independence

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Supporting pupils with personal care where required

Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and families

Creating a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
