As an Outreach Tutor in Wakefield, Yorkshire, you will deliver high-quality education to learners aged 11–16 in alternative and outreach settings across Wakefield and the wider Yorkshire area. Many of the students you will support have experienced barriers in mainstream school, so your adaptability, empathy, and creativity will make a lasting difference.
Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored 1:1 and small group lessons for students aged 11–16 across core subjects

Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of learners in outreach and alternative provision

Travel across Wakefield, Yorkshire to deliver flexible tuition in community or school-based settings

Build strong relationships with students, families, and external professionals

Track and report progress to ensure clear learning outcomes
Requirements for Outreach Tutor Wakefield, Yorkshire Role

Experience teaching or tutoring learners aged 11–16 in SEND, SEMH, or alternative provision settings

Ability to adapt quickly to different learning contexts

Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum

QTS/QTLS is desirable, but skilled unqualified tutors are welcome to apply
