- Location: Worksop
- Contract: Full-time, Permanent (Term-time only)
- Pay: £35,000 - £50,000
- Start Date: January 2026
Own transport essential due to rural location
SENDCo Key Responsibilities:
- Support with the strategic development of SEND provision in the school.
- Complete Annual Reviews, Interim Reviews, and Emergency Reviews of EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the SEND policy and coordinate provision for individual pupils with SEND or disabilities.
- Oversee looked-after pupils within the school.
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues, working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies.
- Advise on the use of school budgets and resources to meet pupils’ needs effectively, including staff development.
- Promote inclusion in the school community and access to the curriculum.
- Lead and manage staff and the effective deployment of staff and resources.
- Lead on interventions to support all pupils.
- Take lead on quality assurance of teaching and learning, with a focus on SEND provision.
- Attend and review PEP meetings.
SENDCo Requirements:
- Accredited SENDCo qualification.
- QTS or QTLS.
- Passionate about education and inclusion.
- Leadership experience and qualities.
- Ability to effectively manage SEND provision in partnership with the Headteacher.
- Ready to develop leadership skills within a school setting.
