Location: Cambridge
Salary: £83-£90 per day (inclusive of 12.07% holiday pay)
Start Date: September 2024
Teaching Assistant (SEN) Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to clients, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and safety.
- Assist with day-to-day activities, promoting independence and positive behaviour.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to each student’s needs.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities and incidents.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in achieving their educational goals.
- Address both the emotional and educational needs of students.
- Collaborate closely with class teachers to ensure individualised learning and emotional support.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
Teaching Assistant (SEN) Requirements:
- Prior experience working with SEN is advantageous.
- Provide learning support to a named pupil with an EHCP
- Establish and maintain supportive relationships with a named pupil with an EHCP to ensure they understand and can achieve the tasks.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with school staff, parents, and carers.
- Certificates in supporting teaching and learning are beneficial.
- Availability for full-time work, Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30.
- Must be able to commute to Cambridge.
- Right to work full time in the UK is essential.
