Unqualified Teaching Assistant – Bookham, Surrey
Inspire EHC is working with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Bookham, Surrey, to recruit dedicated Unqualified Teaching Assistants. As an Unqualified Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils to help them access the curriculum, build confidence, and make progress both academically and emotionally. The school in Bookham is known for its nurturing ethos and strong commitment to inclusion, making it a brilliant place to develop your skills and experience.
You will provide 1:1 and small group support, deliver targeted interventions, and help create an engaging and supportive learning environment. The successful candidate will become a valued member of a caring team dedicated to helping every child reach their full potential.
Salary: £84.05 – £90 per day (inclusive of holiday pay)
Contract: Long-term / Temp to Perm
Hours: 08:30 – 15:30 (term-time only)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with additional needs including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families within the Bookham school community
- Assist in preparing inclusive and engaging learning materials
- Observe, record and report on pupil progress and behaviour

Requirements:
- A genuine interest in working with children and supporting those with additional needs
- Patience, empathy, and a willingness to learn and grow in the role
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Willingness to complete an enhanced DBS check and provide suitable references
- Experience with children in any setting (such as volunteering, youth work, or parenting) is beneficial but not essential
